Under the direction of Coach Ron Cox, Northeastern State Women’s tennis has made 17 trips to the National Championships, won 9 Conference Championships, and has been awarded 17 Women’s National All-Academic awards.

Coach Cox has coached 20 years of women’s tennis at Northeastern State with a record of 405 wins and 62 losses. He has been named the National Coach of the Year, is a five time Regional Coach of the Year and additionally was awarded Conference Coach of the Year 9 times. Cox has coached 6 first team All-Americans, 6 Conference Players of the year and 13 I.T.A Tournament Champions.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Cox is a National Tournament Championship committee member, is a Regional NCAA ranking chair, and a Regional Ranking Committee member. Cox is also a member of the Northeastern State Hall of Fame and stands to be inducted to the Oklahoma Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
