UCO Earns Shutout over NSU

EDMOND, Okla. --- Host Central Oklahoma scored twice in the opening half, then played stellar defense the rest of the way to earn a 2-0 shutout over Northeastern State here Sunday afternoon.

NSU, playing its regular season finale, saw its record fall to 11-4-3. UCO improved to 15-3.

Katy Kashwer put the Bronchos in front for good in the 10th minute with a header off a cross from teammate Nawal Kirts. Less than 10 minutes later, Brittni Walker scored her 10th goal of the year on a left-footed shot from 15 feet which opened up a 2-nil UCO advantage.

The RiverHawks managed only three shots on goal during the afternoon. Goalkeeper Deb Hill gathered in seven saves but suffered the loss.
