A&M-Commerce Drops RiverHawks
COMMERCE, Texas - Texas A&M-Commerce's Meagan Lasley scored two first-half goals in leading the Lions to a 4-1 victory over the Northeastern State RiverHawks in a women's Lone Star Conference match Sunday afternoon on the Lions' pitch.
The RiverHawks are now 5-9-1 for the season and 1-6-1 in Lone Star Conference action. Texas A&M-Commerce improves to 9-6 and 4-3 in league action. Northeastern State resumes Friday when the RiverHawks host West Texas A&M at 2 p.m.
The Lions' Lasley scored goals at 8:54 and 38:06 in the first half to give Commerce a 2-0 lead at the half. Texas A&M-Commerce then received goals by Chelsey Haight at 56:52 and Haley Mull at 62:04 for a 4-0 Lion lead before the RiverHawks scored.
Northeastern State's Sibonet Quinones adverted a RiverHawks' shutout when she scored from 18-yards out unassisted at the 72nd minute of play.
