RiverHawks Rout Texas IA&M-nternational
TAHLEQUAH, OKLA. --- Pryor freshman Rachel Sordahl scored her second hat trick of the season in leading the Northeastern State women's soccer team to a 5-0 victory over Texas A&M-International at the RiverHawks' pitch Sunday afternoon.
The RiverHawks improved to 5-7-1, while Texas A&M-International fell to 0-14-1.
Sordahl scored her goals at 19:47, 29:07 and 42:27 of the opening
half. She was assisted on the goals by Hannah Struck,
Meredith Martin with Early Villegas and Alli Tilemans on the third
goal. The first goal was from 5 yards on a cross from Struck
that went inside the far post, and the second came on
Meredith Martin's corner kick on a header shot.
RiverHawks' Kristina Marshall, scored her first goal of the season
in the first half at 37:20 on an assist by Struck, a cross from 8
yards away, that went inside the far post.
Sibonet Quinones finalized the Northeastern State scoring at 81:44 on an assist from Sordahl. Quinones' shot came from 10 yards away.
Northeastern State returns to Lone Star Conference play on Friday at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. The match begins at 2 p.m.
