Zias Stop RiverHawks on Senior Day

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Eastern New Mexico scored a second-half goal to defeat Northeastern State 1-0  on Senior Day Sunday afternoon at the RiverHawks' pitch.

The RiverHawks close out the year 5-11-1 and 1-8-1 in Lone Star Conference women's play. The Zias improve to 9-10 and 4-6 in LSC play.

The Zias' goal came at the 81:58 mark when Samantha Lawrence scored her seventh goal of the season on an assist by Tasha Caulder.

Northeastern State goalkeeper P.J. Davis made three saves in the match as the Zias took eight shots on goal. The RiverHawks fired five shots on goal.

The victory snapped a two-game skid for the Zias against the RiverHawks. The RiverHawks lead the series with Eastern New Mexico 4-3.
