McAteer, Wright Named NGCA All-American Scholars
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. --- Whitney McAteer and Danielle Wright were named National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar recipients on July 8.
McAteer, who just finished her sophomore season at NSU, is a speech pathology major and carries a perfect 4.00 grade point average. Wright, a redshirt freshman last year from Tulsa (Union HS), is majoring in hospitality and tourism management and carries a 3.571 GPA.
A total of 566 collegiate women's golfers were recognized across all three NCAA divisions. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with only those with a minimum GPA of 3.50 considered.
