RiverHawks Trail LSC Leader by Three Strokes After First Round
THACKERVILLE, Okla. -- Northeastern State trails West Texas A&M by just three strokes after the opening round of the Lone Star Conference Women’s Championship Sunday at the WinStar Golf Course in Thackerville.
The RiverHawks and Tarleton State each fired an opening 321. West Texas A&M, at 318, leads the 10-team field at the par 72, 5,915-yard course.
Angelo State and Central Oklahoma are tied for fourth place with identical total scores of 322.
Individually, UCO’s Cassy Knight is atop the leader board with a two-over 74. The Bronchos' Raelynn Farthing is in second place (76), followed by ASU’s Raelyn Smith and Tarleton’s Katy Ward, who are tied for third place (77).
Northeastern State’s Whitney McAteer is four shots off the pace with a78 tied for fifth place and Liz Cage is six shots back at 79.
