McAteer, RiverHawks 5th at LSC

THACKERVILLE, Okla. --- Whitney McAteer had a one-over-par 73 in Tuesday's final round and the freshman finished tied for fifth place in the 2010 Lone Star Conference Golf Championships at WinStar Golf Course.

As a team, Northeastern State also landed in fifth place with a 54-hole total of 932.

The RiverHawks got help in Tuesday's last 18 holes from senior Liz Cagle with her two-over-par 74.

Tarleton State claimed their third consecutive title by four strokes over West Texas A&M. Central Oklahoma's Cassie Knight won medalist honors at even-par 216, including a final round of two-under 70.
