NSU Moves to No. 12
LILBURN, Ga. --- Northeastern State moved up two spots to No. 12 in this week's USA TODAY ESPN Division II Coaches Poll.
The RiverHawks are 12-1 on the season and received 388 total points. The only blemish on its record is a 60-54 loss to Emporia State, which is ranked No. 19 this week.
Arkansas Tech, at 8-0, took over as the nation's No. 1 team after Bentley (Mass.) suffered a setback to fall to 11-1. Metro State of Denver is second, followed by UC-San Diego, Bentley and Clayton State (Ga.) which round out the top five.
NSU upended Southeastern, 67-51, on Monday night and will be idle until Jan. 9 when it plays at McKendree (Ill.).
