RiverHawks Up to No. 14

LILBURN, Ga. --- Northeastern State moved ahead five spots to No. 14 in this week's USA TODAY ESPN Division II Top 25 women's basketball poll.

The RiverHawks are 4-0 on the year and coming off a pair of victories at the Oahu Classic in Honolulu last week. NSU already owns victories over Northwest Missouri State, St. Mary's (Texas), Northern Kentucky and Lewis this season.

Bentley (Mass.) took over the top spot this week after posting a perfect 5-0 mark to begin the year. Arkansas Tech (4-0) is second, followed by Metropolitan State of Denver (4-0), Wayne State, Neb., (6-0) and California-San Diego (6-0) which round out the top five.

Clayton State, last week's No. 1 team, fell to No. 6 after suffering a setback a week ago.

NSU began the year at No. 24 and moved to 19th last week. There are a total of 14 undefeated team in the WBCA poll this week.
