Wright Picks Up LSC North Defensive Award
RICHARDSON, Texas (Dec. 15) --- Jasmine Wright was chosen as the Lone Star Conference North Division Defensive Player of the Week.
The junior guard from Lake Highlands High School was part of a stingy Northeastern State defense that limited two LSC South opponents to just .269 field goal percentage (.119 from 3-point range, and .583 from the FT line). She had nine rebounds, four steals and one block as the team gave up an average of 42 points in a pair of crossover wins at home against Abilene Christian (60-44) and Angelo State (67-40).
The No. 7-ranked RiverHawks remain unbeaten at 7-0.
