RiverHawks No. 3 in South Central Regional Rankings

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. --The NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Committee has released the first Division II regional rankings of the season and Northeastern State is No. 3 in the South Central Region.

Texas A&M sits atop the region at 19-2 followed by Emporia State 14-1, Northeastern State 15-4, Washburn 13-3, Southeastern State 11-5 , Tarleton State 13-3, Fort Hays State 10-4, St. Mary’s. Texas 13-5, Abilene Christian 12-6 and Central Oklahoma 9-6.

The Top 8 teams in each region will advance to the NCAA Division II National Tournament in March at St. Joseph, Mo. Selections for the tournament will be on Sunday, March 7.
