Dee Gerlach is beginning her 10th season as the head softball coach at Northeastern State University where she has recorded a 183-192-1 record in nine seasons as the RiverHawks head coach.

 Gerlach guided the 2007RiverHawks team to a 7th place finish in the South Central Region, reaching the national tournament for the first time, defeating host team Angelo State University in extra innings in the RiverHawks opening game.

 The 2007 squad established a school record win-loss mark of 33-14 which included All-American Rachel Christian.

Gerlach's 2006 squad placed 9th in the region, just missing a national tournament berth.

 Gerlach took the head coaching position at Northeastern State in 2000, after serving as a graduate assistant in softball at the University of Central Oklahoma in 1999 before stints as assistant softball coach at Missouri Southern State University in 1991-1992 and 1999-2000.

The 1992 Missouri Southern State squad won the NCAA Division II National Championship in which Gerlach was an assistant coach.

 She also was a volunteer assistant volleyball coach at Missouri Southern State University from 1988-1990.

Gerlach entered private business after the 1992 national championship season at Missouri Southern State as owner of Textile Printing from 1992 through 1998 before rejoining Missouri Southern State as an assistant coach in 1999.

 Gerlach is a 1987 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor Science degree in Business Management. She earned a Master of Science degree in Education from Central Oklahoma in 1999.

Gerlach is a member of the National Softball Coaches Association, Oklahoma Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. She served on the South Central Softball Regional Committee from 2005-2008.
