Soccer Falls to Buffs
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. --- West Texas A&M shutout Northeastern State 2-0 in a Lone Star Conference soccer match here Sunday afternoon.
The loss was the second straight for the RiverHawks (4-3), both of which have come against league opponents. WTAMU improved to 4-3 and 1-1.
Dominic Furness scored both goals for the Buffs, his first coming in the 25th minute on Ben Everson's assist, and the latter in the 66th minute on Nicki Nielsen's cross. That's all WT needed as Sebastian Furness logged six saves in goal.
Northeastern State's Matt Murrell suffered the loss despite gathering up seven saves.
The RiverHawks will host Newman University on Friday, Oct. 1, at 1:30 p.m.
