Vernalls Earns LSC Honor

RICHARDSON, Texas --- Sam Vernalls has claimed the Lone Star Conference Men's Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Vernalls, from Northallerton, England/Botters High School, scored four goals in a pair of non-conference victories last week for Northeastern State.

The senior forward had both scores in a 2-1 decision against Texas A&M-International, then came back with another two goal oerformance in a 7-2 blowout over St. Edward's. He had the game-winning goal in each of the matches and brought his season goal total to seven.

The two victories snapped a three-game losing skid for the RiverHawks.
