TAHLEQUAH, Okla. ---- Northeastern State keeper Brendon Lindsey collected 10 saves in a losing effort as the Buffaloes of West Texas A&M escaped with a 3-0 victory in a Southwest Soccer Conference match.
West Texas improved to 10-5 and 4-2 in SSC play, as the RiverHawks fell to 3-12-1 and 2-5.
West Texas scored the first goal of the match at the 26:30 mark of the first half as Ben Everson let a shot fly from 18 yards out past the diving keeper for the 1-0 advantage. The Buffaloes added another goal just before half as Itamar Keinan gave scored off a corner kick for a 2-0 WTAMU lead at halftime.
The Buffaloes scored once more in the second half to seal the 3-0 victory.
West Texas dominated on both ends of the field, as the Buffaloes out-shot the RiverHawks 21-5 and WTAMU keeper Sebastian Furness collected two saves.
Northeastern State will play its final home game of the 2008 season on Friday October 31 against Drury University. Game time is set for 2:00 at the NSU Soccer Complex.
