SAN ANTONIO, Texas ----- Northeastern State continued its extended road trip with a 2-0 loss to St. Mary's here Sunday afternoon.

 

The RiverHawks fell to 2-7 on the year, as the Rattlers moved to 2-4 with the victory.

 

The two teams battled for more than 75 minutes before St. Mary's Bryon Plagge broke open a scoreless game with a header off a free kick that got past RiverHawk keeper, Brendon Lindsey, for a 1-0 Rattlers lead.

 

St. Mary's would seal the victory as Sean Strater converted a penalty kick to give the Rattlers the 2-0 victory.

 

Lindsey had a terrific performance for the RiverHawks, collecting four saves to keep Northeastern State in the game. 

 

Next action for the RiverHawks will be on October 5 against St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.  Northeastern State will finally return home on October 10 to take on Midwestern State.
