Sam Vernalls, 5-9, 165-pound senior forward from Northallerton, England, is the
son of  Ruth Hasney.

At Northallerton High School, Vernalls participated on four district and area
championship teams.

A kinesiology major, Vernalls  attended Northern Oklahoma College where he was
All-Region, All-District, All-American. He is the all-time goal scorer with 49
for the Mavericks. He then transferred to the University of Kentucky, where he
played one season, scoring four goals and had four assists.
