Christian Saavedra, 5-6, 160-pound freshman midfielder from Rogers, Ark., is
the son of Julio Saavedra.

Saavedra, an education major, played at Rogers High School for coach Steve Peck,
where he graduated with honors and received the Chambers Award four consecutive
years. He also participated in the Super Clubs Invitational in Memphis.
