RiverHawks 3rd, Nelson 4th at NSU Classic
MUSKOGEE, Okla. --- Central Oklahoma (846) shot a blistering 8-under-par 276 in the final round to win the 13th Annual NSU Men's Golf Classic championship by 10 strokes over Arkansas-Fort Smith. It marks the third consecutive tournament UCO has won this fall.
Northeastern State, which entered the day tied for the lead with UAFS, faltered to a dismal 299 over the last 18 holes to finish third in the team championship at 868. Dallas Baptist (871) and Our Lady of the Lake (874) rounded out the top five.
UAFS's Ethan Adamson took home the medalist honor by carding a tournament score of five-under 208, one shot better than the Bronchos' Andrew Green and Josh Creel. The RiverHawks' Casey Nelson was tied for 4th overall at 3-under 210 for NSU's best score.
