RiverHawks Second Affer Opening Day
SAN ANTONIO , TEXAS – Northeastern State University men’s golf team trails tournament host and leader St. Mary’s University after two rounds of the Bruce Williams Memorial Invitational Monday.
The RiverHawks fired a 587, 12-strokes back of the leader St. Mary’s at 575 after 36-holes. The final round will be played Tuesday.
Trailing the RiverHawks in the 17-team field were Dallas Baptist (297-296) 593, Abilene Christian (301-293) 594, and Newman University (303-295) at 598 to round out the top five.
Northeastern State had rounds of 301 and 286, with Josh Boswell leading the charge with a 140 (72-68) on the par 72 course. The Wagoner junior is just two strokes behind leaders Johnathan Schnitzer and Julio Vegas, both from the University of Texas at 138.
Teammates Brady Wood (74-73) and Kyle Fouts (77-70) each shot 147 to be among the top 20.
