RiverHawks Finish Fifth
DESTIN, FLA. – Northeastern State University men’s golf team placed fifth in the 17-team Indian Bayou Classic to complete its fall golf schedule.
The RiverHawks fired a team total 600 with rounds of 302-298 to
finish 28-strokes behind tournament winner and host school North
Alabama at 572. Following North Alabama in the scoring was Valdosta
State 582, Columbus State 595, Shorter College 595 with
Northeastern State and Clayton State at 600.
The RiverHawks’ Brady Wood finished tied for ninth at 145
with rounds of 75-70, 1-over par for the 36-hole play on the par
72, 7,079-yard course. North Alabama’s Brett Muson took
medalist honors with a 134. He fired rounds of 69 and 65.
Northeastern State’s Josh Boswell tied for 12th at 147 with
rounds of 73 and 74, Kyle Fouts placed 34th with a 153, shooting
76-77 and Jordan Pearceful finished at 48th with a 155, shooting a
78 and 77. James Peachey had a 163 with rounds of 84 and 79.
