Golf Struggles

WICHITA FALLS, Texas --- Northeastern State sits in 12th place after the opening two rounds of the Midwestern State Invitational on Monday.

The RiverHawks began the tournament with a 302, but struggled on the final 18 holes of the day to card a 317 for a 36-hole total of 619. Oklahoma City University leads the event at 569 and is ahead by 12 strokes over Dallas Baptist at 581. Central Missouri (586), along with Midwestern State (595) and Central Oklahoma (595) round out the top five spots.

Kyle Fouts paced Northeastern State and is tied for 17th overall at 148. Fouts carded a one-under-par 70 in the first round, then recorded a 7-over 78 for a 148. Jordan Perceful is tied for 48th at 156.
