Boswell Fourth at Bakersfield Tournament
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Northeastern State’s Josh Boswell is fourth after the opening day of the California State-Bakersfield Elco Invitational golf tournament Monday.
The RiverHawks are fifth at 594 after 36 holes at the par-72 7,079
yards Republic Country Club. Northeastern State shot rounds of 296
and 298 to trail the leader CSU-Stanislaus by 26 strokes, which
finished the day at 568.
It was NSU’s first tournament of the season with Boswell
opening with rounds of 72-71 for a 143, 1-under par for the 36
holes. Jonathan Copckerill of CSU-Stanis leads the tournament at
138 after rounds of 71 and 67. The RiverHawks’ Brady Wood is
is tied for 14th position at 146. Wood opened play with rounds of
74 and 72.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with 18 holes of play.
