Northeastern State placed fifth in the Indian Dayou Classic at Destin, Fla. The RiverHawks finshed the tournment with a team total 600 after rounds of 302 and 298. Host North Alabama won the tournament with a 572.

BLAINE, Wash. --- A pair of underclassmen led Northeastern State in the third round of the 2009 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships on Thursday. However, the RiverHawks failed to move any in the team standings.

Golf Falters in Round 2
Northeastern State's bid for a championship took a serious hit in Wednesday's second round. The RiverHawks, which entered the day in third place, limped in with a dismal 311 and fell to 11th overall in the 2009 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships at Loomis Trail Golf Club.

Nice Start at Nationals
Northeastern State made a good showing in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships Tuesday with a 13-over-par 297 at Loomis Trail Golf Club. After 18 holes, the RiverHawks are in third place in the team standings, four shots behind leaders Barry and Sonoma State, which carded identical scores of nine-over, 293.

Golf Ready for Nationals
Northeastern State University’s men’s golf team begins its journey to the NCAA II National Championship that will take place at the Loomis Trail Golf Club in Blaine, Washington. The RiverHawks will take aim at its first national championship as play begins on Tuesday, May 19, and runs through May 22.

Bound for Blaine
Josh Boswell and Sam Powell came in at even-par 71 to lead Northeastern State (OK) to a second place finish in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Midwest/South Central Super Regional at The Meadows Golf Course. The RiverHawks fired a final round 293, and their 54-hole total of 865 was just six shots behind champion Wayne State, (Mich.).
