Reaves Earns LSC Offensive Award
RICHARDSON, Texas (Jan. 18) --- Terance Reaves, a sophomore guard from Northeastern State, has been named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the league office.
A 6-3 transfer from Long Beach, Calif., Reaves jump-started Northeastern State’s stagnant offense by coming off the bench to score 33 points in a pair of LSC North wins last week. He shot 11-of-19 (.579) from the field, including 9-of-15 (.600) from behind the arc. He also was 2-of-3 (.667) at the free throw line.
Reaves erupted for 18 in a 75-63 win at Cameron and added 15 in a 58-52 victory at home against Southwestern Oklahoma. Prior to the week, NSU had been mired in a four-game losing skid.
