Claremore Duo Headed to Northeastern State
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. --- Alex Miller, a 6-1 guard, and Dakota Caudill, a 6-5 forward, have inked National Letters of Intent to play basketball next season at Northeastern State. Both are from Claremore High School and play for former Redmen basketballer Tim Stewart.
"We are extremely happy to sign both Alex and Dakota," said head coach Larry Gipson. "They are two of the very best players in Oklahoma and they give us an excellent inside-outside duo in this recruiting class.
"Alex is a tremendous shooter and Dakota is a very skilled front-line player. Both young men are outstanding students and people, and come from one of the best high school programs in eastern Oklahoma."
Caudill averaged 17 points, and nine rebounds as a junior a year ago. He also had 2 blocks and two steals per game en route to being named to the Metro Lakes All-Conference team.
Miller was also selected to the All-Metro Lakes Conference squad where he scored 11 points, grabbed three rebounds, four assists and three steals per outing. Both Caudill and Miller helped lead the Zebras to the Oklahoma Class 5A state semi-finals and a 25-3 overall record.
