RiverHawks No. 9 in Regional Rankings

TAHLEQUH, Okla -- The NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Committee has released the first Division II men’s basketball regional rankings and Northeastern State is No. 9 in the South Central Regional rankings.

Fort Hays State sits atop the South Central rankings with a 12-0 record followed by Central Missouri 13-1, Midwestern State 12-1, Nebraska-Omaha 11-4, Central Oklahoma 14-3, Southwest Baptist 13-5, Tarleton State 12-3, Missouri Western State 10-6, Northeastern State 10-5, and Newman 10-4.

The following top 10 teams in each region, with records through Sunday, January 24, were included in this week’s regional rankings.

The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA Division II Tournament which will begin in March..
