Reaves Signs With RiverHawks

TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State head coach Larry Gipson announced the signing of Terance Reaves to a national basketball letter-of-intent.

Reaves, a 6-3, 190-pound guard from Citrus College in Glendora, Calif., is the first early-signing basketball player to a national letter-of-intent  in Northeastern State history.

"We're very excited to have Terrance join the RiverHawks family," said Gipson. "He's a great shooter and we feel will fit into our program."

As a freshman at Citrus last season he averaged 11.3 points and 7.5 rebounds. He shot 42.9 percent from 3-point range, connecting on 42-of-99 shots and 40.9 percent from the field overall. Reaves led the Owls in scoring twice as a freshman scoring 22  and 19 points.

At Long Beach (Calif.) Poly High School Reaves was a McDonald's All-American nominee, where he was voted the Most Outstanding Player, first team All-Moore League player, averaging 15 points per game.
