Jones to Play in All-Star Game
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Northeastern State’s Jason Jones, 6-7 senior post from Cahors, France, has been selected to play in the 2010 NABC/NCAA Basketball Elite Eight All-Star game on Friday (March 26) at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, Mass.
Jones is the first Northeastern State player to be selected to play
in the East-West Game. Jones, who averaged 15.4 points, sixth in
the Lone Star Conference and 9.3 rebounds to lead the Lone Star
Conference, will play for the West squad, which is being coached by
Central Missouri's Kim Anderson. Jones is the only Lone Star
Conference player selected to play in the event.
Jones, who was named the LSC North Division Defensive Player of the Year and a first team selection, was a pre-season NCAA Division II All-American selection.
