McVay Earns All-Region Honor
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. --- Northeastern State's Trey McVay has been named First Team of the Daktronics All-Super Region 4 football squad.
The Fort Gibson, Okla., product has rewritten every NSU record for receivers this season as he caps his 4-year RiverHawks' career.
Entering Saturday's Mineral Water Bowl against Minnesota State, Mankato, McVay has 80 catches for a whopping 1,492 yards this season. He also has scored 16 touchdowns in the 2011 campaign.
For his career, McVay has 193 receptions for 2,975 yards and 34 TDs. He leads NCAA Division II in receiving yards per game and is 9th nationally in receptions per game.
Earlier this season he set an NCAA record for all divisions with 425 receiving yards on 16 catches with six touchdowns.
