Robinson Snares All-America Honor

WACO, Texas (Dec. 15) --- Northeastern State's Nate Robinson has been selected to the 2010 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' All-America Team. The Rockingham, N.C., junior is a first-team selection as a defensive back, and is the 68th player from Northeastern State to earn All-America status.

Robinson led the RiverHawks this season with four interceptions, broke up 10 passes and had a total of 14 pass deflections. He also logged 31 tackles, including 23 solos, had one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery and blocked a kick. Robinson, also a return specialist, had 775 yards in kickoff returns, a 22.7 yard average, with one TD, and 258 punt return yards this season.

The AFCA has seleced an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know the players the best - the coaches themselves.
