Beam played in 10 games for the RiverHawks in 2008.  He caught 13 passes for 133 yards while averaging 13.3 yards per contest. 

In high school, he caught 37 passes for 689 yards and six touchdowns at tight end and made 74 tackles, two sacks and one interception as a prep senior for the Savages and coach Greg Werner. He was an All-State and All-District selection, chosen All-District Co-Receiver of the Year and was a participant in the Oil Bowl.
