After suffering a season-ending injury in the second game of the 2008 season, Lewis is healthy and will add much needed depth at running back for the RiverHawks in 2009.

In his first season with the RiverHawks, Lewis amassed over 1,000 yards of total offense and led Northeastern State to a share of the LSC-North title.  He ran for 811 yards on 187 carries, caught 18 passes for 149 yards and returned 10 kickoffs for 213 yards. 

Lewis garnered All-LSC North Second Teams honors in 2007.  He is a criminal justice major.
