Tenison enters his second year with the RiverHawks football program after a redshirt year in 2008.

In high school he helped anchor the Trojan defense that won back-to-back state titles in 2006 and 2007. Tenison collected 145 tackles, 2 interceptions, forced four fumbles and recorded four sacks as a prep senior for coach Allan Trimble. He earn All-District 6A-4 linebacker distinction and was second on the Trojan squad in tackles.
