If you are planning a trip to watch the RiverHawks, here are some helpful driving directions to make your travel easier. The major highways entering Tahlequah are: Oklahoma Highway 82 (which runs north/south through Tahlequah); Oklahoma Highway 51 (which runs east/west through Tahlequah); U.S. Highway 62 (east/west from Tulsa/Muskogee and into Arkansas; Scenic Oklahoma Highway 10 (which runs north/south from the east side of Tahlequah along the Illinois River). Interstate 40 is located approximately 50 miles south of Tahlequah and Interstate 44 is located approximately 50 miles northwest of Tahlequah.
DOC WADLEY STADIUM/GABLE FIELD (football) --- This venue is located approximately 1/2 mile north of the Northeastern State University campus in Tahlequah, and is located at the intersection of North Grand Avenue and Allen Road.
Coming from the North --- Take Oklahoma highway 82 south to the northern outskirts of Tahlequah. Take Grand Avenue exit and proceed approximately one mile to the stadium.
Coming from the South --- Take U.S. highway 62 to the southern edge of Tahlequah. You may continue south on Muskogee Avenue (which is considered Main Street in Tahlequah). Near the campus, Muskogee Avenue becomes Grand Avenue. Continue through campus and proceed approximately 1/2 mile to the stadium. You may also take the 62/82/10 Bypass east of the city of Tahlequah. Proceed to Allen Road and turn left. This will take you west to Grand Avenue.
NSU EVENT CENTER (basketball) --- This venue is located directly south of Doc Wadley Stadium/Gable Field on the corner of Grand Avenue and North Street. Please use the Doc Wadley Stadium/Gable Field directions above as reference. Parking is available on site with overflow parking permitted at the football stadium.
DeLOACHE FIELD (soccer)/NORTHEASTERN STATE SOFTBALL PARK --- These venues are located east of the main campus at the intersection of Crafton Street and Oklahoma Avenue.
NORTHEASTERN STATE TENNIS COMPLEX --- This venue is located on the eastern periphery of the main campus. From the Softball & Soccer directions above, turn left on Oklahoma Avenue, proceed approximately 1/2 mile to East Street. Turn right and go one block. Turn right again and proceed to the tennis complex.
THOMAS C. ROUSEY FIELD (baseball) --- This venue can be accessed by taking Grand Avenue through the main campus. Turn east on Crafton Street and go one block. Turn right on Lewis and go one block. Turn left at North Loeser Hall and follow the road around the dormitory to the field.
