KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- 58 Northeastern State First-Year and Newcomer student-athletes earned academic accolades from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Monday as members of its Honor Roll.
Baseball led the way for a second straight season with 15 honorees, while softball and women's soccer each added 11.
Student-Athletes must have at least a 3.0-grade point average to be eligible to be on the Association's Honor Roll. A complete listing of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll can be found here.
Camila de Michele (Women's Tennis), Annika Kleinhans (Women's Tennis), Juan Vergel (Men's Golf), Charlea Cochran (Softball), Reese Shirey (Women's Basketball), Jaclyn Barritt (Women's Soccer) and Kendall Stejskal (Women's Soccer) were on the MIAA's Academic Excellence list for having a perfect 4.0 GPA.
