KANSAS CITY, Kan. –
Trevor Reed was named the NSCAA Men's Division II National Player of the Week for matches played August 31 through September 6, announced Tuesday afternoon by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The sophomore midfielder from Cabot, Arkansas, becomes the second player in school history to win the award (
Juan Peralta, Nov. 4, 2014).

He helped lead Northeastern State to a pair of victories after scoring four of NSU's five goals. He scored twice against Truman State and then scored both goals in NSU's 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Missouri S&T. The RiverHawks fell behind in the 10th minute, and Reed tied the match in the 73rd minute and then scored the game winner in the 75th minute. He also scored the game winner against the Bulldogs and leads the MIAA in scoring.

Reed scored twice all of last season and has already double his production through opening weekend. He was also honored as the MIAA Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week for his efforts. Both awards are the first in Reed's career.

The NSCAA College Players of the Week are announced every Tuesday throughout the fall college regular season on NSCAA.com. Winners will include a men's and women's winner from all three NCAA divisions.
