TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Northeastern State softball team will host tryouts at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at RiverHawks Park for the upcoming 2016 season, NSU coach
Clay Davis announced Thursday.
All that plan to tryout for the team must be enrolled at Northeastern State.
Prior to participation in a tryout, a prospective student-athlete is required to undergo a medical examination or evaluation administered or supervised by a physician (e.g., family physician, team physician). The examination or evaluation shall include a sickle cell solubility test (SST), unless documented results of a prior test are provided to the institution or the prospective student-athlete declines the test and signs a written release. The examination or evaluation must be administered within six months prior to participation in the tryout.
Those trying out will need to bring with them a glove and cleats.
NSU SOFTBALL TRYOUTS
Who: Any female student-athlete enrolled at Northeastern State.
What: Tryouts to be a walk-on for the 2016 NSU softball team. (Also, remember to bring documentation of a physical performed in the last year, and the results of a sickle cell test or sign the sickle cell test waiver.)
Where: RiverHawks Park on the campus of Northeastern State University
