Langston Jones was honored this past week as
The Oklahoman's State College All-Star Team Defensive Player of the Year.

Jones picks up the award after a dominant senior season as one of NSU's starting linebackers.

Jones was the leading tackler from Super Region 3 (for the second-straight year) by a 21-tackle margin. He finished fourth in the NCAA in both total tackles (141) and tackles per game (12.8). The versatile player also ranked 12th in the MIAA in tackles for loss (9.0) and 15th in pass breakups (8), while finishing with a pair of interceptions. He is fourth in career tackles (387) amongst all active Division II players.

He has also been named to the 2013 Daktronics All-Super Region 3 Second Team and the All-MIAA Second Team.
